Melody & Brendan were married harbour side at Rydges in Newcastle on a beautiful autumn day. They had recently returned from a quick trip to China for a traditional Chinese ceremony and to bring some family back over to Australia, so really they were pros at this getting married thing! It was so beautiful to see both of their families come together, even with a slight language barrier it didn’t matter – we could all see and feel what the day meant to everyone.
After the ceremony we headed off for a few fun bridal party photos, we got very lucky with the weather as the storms rolled right on past us leaving only the humidity! But we had a ball, and these guys loved every minute.
One of my favourite moments from the wedding was Melodys’ dad speech – he spoke in Chinese but with the help of an interrupter we understood exactly what he was saying. He shared some beautiful words about the wedding and both families coming together … let’s just say there were lots of happy tears everywhere I looked.
