Hello and thank you all so much for your support in 2018! I thought I would start this blog with a photo from my annual photo shoot, lol, yes, that is me jumping off the jetty holding a bunch of balloons – because … why not! I also wanted to give a big thank you to my amazing team, Elissa, Don, Shannon & Relz. I could not have made it through 2018 without you all, let’s all jump off together next time xox
Here are a few memorable wedding moments from 2018 in no particular order.
And as always, your referrals are important to our business, so if you know of any friends, work colleagues or family members who are planning a wedding, need family portraits or anything in between please do not hesitate to contact us.
Let the fun begin!!
Ok, so there was this one time I went face first into a glass floor to ceiling to door, nope not embarrassing at all! But in my defense? The videographer did the exact same thing! Your wedding was beautiful Emily & Luke, loved every minute – well maybe not the glass face plant bit!

Show me your wings! Welcome to the wedding of Emma & James. These guys travelled all the way up from Canberra to get married by the beach – and it was gorgeous. Emma’s dress featured these wing like sleeves, very feminine and just so beautiful, one of my favourite dresses of 2018 for sure if I can have one!

Weather – the big unknown! But when a full rainbow happens during the bridal photography session, you have to stop and take it all in. Nicolle & Matt, this was an amazing day 🙂 and you 100% win for best photo booth props (Matt masks)!

Christie & Greg got arrested! Ha, only kidding. But as soon as we arrived at the beach for the bridal party photos we were ‘interrupted’ by the local cops. Such a fun wedding 🙂

Location location location! For Dani & Aaron’s wedding photos we went 4WD driving around the National Park and found one of the best views on the Central Coast. This was such a gorgeous wedding. Be sure to check out their blog for Dani’s epic dance moves.

Shae & Richard you know why you are here – best bridal flash of the year, haha. I have uploaded the ‘G’ rated version of course 😉 but you may be able to guess what happened next in my camera roll as she did a full on handstand.

My 1st international wedding of the year took me to the East Coast of America for Kate & Matthew’s wedding. For this wedding there was more time in the air than on the ground! But with the possibility of a snowy winter wedding who could resist? PS there was no the snow!

This was such a fun wedding, two dresses, a traditional Chinese ceremony and the best first dance ever! Michelle & Graham what a day. You guys make the list for the best drone photo of the year, even if we did slightly injure the brides shoes in the making of the photo.

Cake, actual cheese cake! This was my favourite cake of 2018 without a doubt. Four rounds of cheese stacked on top of each other covered in figs and flowers. Nom nom nom – Gary & Wayne!!

Underwater photos! Shannon & Dean eloped on the beach in Newcastle in front of a pod of dolphins and wedding cake, and their kids. I love adventurous couples and when we talked about the idea of them getting in the water I was all in – literally.
I love seeing kids at weddings – especially when they are such a part of it. Your family vibe was beautiful Kate & Brendan, and your smiles and sense of humour were contagious!

Then sometimes it is the grand kids that steal the show! This was certainly the case for Kylie & Deans wedding, look at the little man walking down the aisle – there is nothing cuter!

I could not have written a list like this without including Amy & Grant. From the tears at the engagement session to your absolute joy on your wedding day, you and Grant are such a blessing for each other 🙂 Amy you were literally beaming all day, even during the emergency hair cut you had while getting ready.

Zoe & Matt had such a windy day for their beautiful wedding resulting in a change of location that morning. But they were so brave, as we still had the chance to head out on the jetty for a few photos (even with baby on board!) and it was so worth it.

Tayla & Kyall were so nervous during their engagement session. But boy they were amazing on their wedding day as they only had eyes for each other.
They are now the most famous couple in the Hunter Valley as their wedding photos currently grace the cover of the Hunters guide to weddings. Should have got their autograph while I could!

Often while photographing I ask couples to slow down and take a minute just to be in the moment. But I don’t think that Jasmine or Cody could have slowed down even if they tried. Both so full of life, energy and fun, you both had me laughing all day.

Get to the choppa! What a fun day we had with Alan & Paul – their total dream wedding. From arriving in a helicopter, to walking down the aisle with their dogs and mums, then to ending the night with fireworks. Oh what a night. You guys win for teaching me what happens when you play a certain classic Australian rock song while on the dance floor!

Breanna & Matt literally tied the knot during their wedding ceremony, such a beautiful custom that I had not seen before to signify their bond for each other – so a beautiful way to celebrate the day. And how gorgeous were all those kids!

Speeches that make you cry – this was my number one wedding crier for 2018. After a lifetime of togetherness Joy & Dim were finally able to say ‘I do’, what a journey you both have had.

This had to be the windiest day of the year in the Hunter Valley and Tracy & Joe made the most of it by getting married inside in front of the toasty warm fire place, we even braved a few photos outside, here’s to more winter weddings in 2019!
